VIRGILIO BUCIO BUSTAMANTE
Professional trajectory:
Virgilio began his professional training in the area of Foreign Trade at the prestigious Law Firm Chevez, Ruiz, Zamarripa y Cia, S.C. referring on regional tax and foreign trade issues. Later he joined the Law Firm Aguilar y Loera, S.C., as an associate in the area of foreign trade and regulatory law, advising various large clients such as Arcelormittal, Ternium S.C., Johnson and Brenntag.
Virgilio has several publications in specialized legal journals and serves as associate professor on the Faculty of Law of the Universidad Panamericana.
He worked as an adviser to the Ministry of Economy on the renegotiation of the Free Trade Agreement between Mexico and the European Union in the area of Industrial Property, specifically Geographical Indications.
A founding partner of BUCIO, CARRILLO y POO, he currently advises various companies in their daily operations, as well as in diverse litigations in Foreign Trade and Regulatory matters. Additionally, he is in charge of the area of regulatory law and trade law..

MAURICIO CARRILLO SALAZAR
Professional Trajectory:
Mauricio is a practicing attorney, known and respected for his skill and pragmatism in defending his clients' interests in Court. His professional practice began and evolved with Guati Rojo Abogados S.C., a Firm recognized as a seedbed for prominent litigators. The litigious perspective he brings to the analysis of matters makes him widely consulted upon for the negotiation of contracts, as well as for business decisions.
He has advised and litigated for large corporations such as Bosch, McDonald's, Daimler Chrysler, Telemexico (Fox Studios Mexico) and Prosegur, as well as for public and private financial institutions such as Banorte, HSBC, Banobras and Bancomext.
The arguments he’s put forward in Courts, based on the self-taught study civil liability, have contributed to the formation of the judicial canon for the assimilation of the Anglo-Saxon doctrine of punitive damages in Mexico.
Prior to the creation of the Firm, he served as Head of the legal office of Telemexico (Fox Studios, Mexico), where he optimized the operation of audiovisual productions by implementing novel and safer legal practices for the industry, achieving significant savings and budget cost reductions. Mauricio is presently in charge of the areas commercial and civil litigation at BCP.

MIGUEL ANGEL POO ROMANO
Professional Trajectory:
Miguel began his professional training in the consulting area in Ortíz, Sainz y Erreguerena S.C., Firm highly specialized in tax matters, to later open his own practice in Desentis y Poo S.C. as Partner in charge of the area of administrative law, where in addition to advising several companies such as Linio, Bel Cheese, USAID, Louis Vuitton (LVMH) and Xcape among others, served as honorary advisor to the Senate's Immigration Affairs Committee. He has actively participated in potential reforms to the immigration law.
Upon his return from Spain, prior to his incorporation to BUCIO, CARRILLO & POO, he worked as a senior associate in González Calvillo, S.C. where in addition to work in the area of real estate law, he participated in strategic constitutional litigations related to the interpretation of various fundamental rights. Miguel is presently in charge of the areas of constitutional and strategic litigation at BCP, as well as participates in the areas of administrative law and real estate law.

ALEJANDRO GORDILLO ROUSSE
Professional Trajectory:
Alejandro has more than 12 years of experience advising national and international clients on tax-related matters. His practice includes both domestic and international consulting and tax planning, especially in connection with the tax implications arising in Mexico with regard to transactions in capital markets, structuring of investment funds, as well as structuring of M&A and domestic and cross-border transactions in the energy sector.
Alejandro has developed a highly complex expertise regarding the tax regime of CKDs (development capital certificates), FIBRAS and FIBRAS E (the Mexican equivalent of U.S. REIT and MLP, respectively) advising both sponsors and underwriters alike.
Alejandro is presently in charge of the areas of tax law and financial law at BCP.

- Graduated as a Mexican attorney from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.
- Pursued his LLM in taxation at the University of San Diego, School of Law.
JULIO SANCLIMENT MARTÍNEZ
Professional Trajectory:
Julio began his legal training in the area of civil law, specifically in notary practice, at Notary Public 116 in Mexico City. He also participated in highly specialized real estate transactions.
Upon his return from Spain and prior to joining BUCIO, CARRILLO & POO, he worked as a senior associate at Forcada, Silva, Calleja y Asociados S.C., where in addition to leading the corporate law area, he worked in the area of the development of the constitutional law practice, having advised several public and private institutions.
Previous to joining BUCIO, CARRILLO & POO, Julio occupied the position of the PhD coordinator at Escuela Libre de Derecho (ELD) University, in addition to being a professor of various subjects at ITAM, the ELD, and the Institute of the Federal Judiciary. He has published numerous academic works including a research article published in the Journal of the Institute of Legal Research of the UNAM: “Social Rights in the Mexican 20th Century”, as well as the book The Public Defender's Office; Access to Justice for the Dispossessed.
In addition to being an Of Counsel lawyer to BCP, Julio also works as a lawyer for the Notary Public 227 in Mexico City.
